Gukira Sisterhood

This is a six-week run of informal and interactive weekly meetings for Black women between the ages of 25 and 35 focus on empowerment and wellness. The group will share and explore experiences of intergenerational trauma in a safe and nonjudgmental space.

Origin: Comes from the Kinyarwanda language, one of the languages spoken in Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, DRC (Congo) & Tanzania

More Information

  • Group size will range from 6-10 participants. This is a closed group with fixed participants throughout the six-week term 

  • Required commitment to attend at least 5 of 6 consecutive weeks of group sessions

  • Attendance requires that cameras are on throughout sessions 

  • This group is free of charge​ and we will take one short break each session

  • Groups will be held via Zoom. We will send out the link in your booking confirmation email as well as in an email at least 24 before the workshop begins
