Jessica Blakeley
(She/her) MA, RP
Registered Psychotherapist
I understand the idea of starting therapy can be intimidating and overwhelming. It takes courage to take that leap and begin facing your thoughts and feelings. As your therapist I make sure you feel understood, heard and validated. I provide individualized, creative and collaborative care for children, adolescents and adults who are experiencing a variety of mental health concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression and self-esteem issues.
We live in a society where we can be viewed so harshly that it is no wonder we feel the need to hold back or hide our feelings. Sometimes even our family and friends can let us down, hurt us or make us feel unsafe to be ourselves. When the world feels like it is against you, therapy can take some of the pressure off and help guide you towards the answers you already have within.
My practice is trauma-informed and supported through compassion and kindness. I have a toolbox of various approaches to best fit each individual’s needs. I enjoy using Cognitive-Behavioural, Narrative, Acceptance and Commitment, and Mindfulness techniques. I will encourage you to become curious about how your own thoughts, emotions, and behaviours influence your everyday life and provide the space needed to make meaningful changes that support your future.
