Malaika Baxter
(She/her) BA, MA
Registered Psychotherapist

Are you experiencing something difficult and seeking new ways to approach this challenge? Are you pursuing personal growth and looking for support? I believe that therapy can help. We form genuine connections in therapy and these human connections are at the root of healing and lasting change.

My work is guided by a variety of therapeutic approaches including acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, and person-centred therapy. Using these approaches I can help you discover effective ways to manage difficult thoughts and emotions, and ways to live a life that is guided by your values. I believe that you are the expert of your life and experiences - together we will explore who you are and how you want to show up in your life.

In my work with individuals I draw from lived experience with complex family systems, life transitions, and adoption. You can trust me to bring my authentic self into our work together. Compassion and genuine engagement guide my interactions. I am also committed to practicing in a way that is culturally sensitive and anti-oppressive. I would be honoured to connect with you for a free consultation, to see if I am a good fit to support you on your therapeutic journey.
