Application Information

Application Requirements

A practicum application for Work in Progress should include a WiP-specific cover letter and a resume. If you have submitted a resume but not a cover letter, please send both the cover letter and resume together in a single updated email. Applications should be sent to info@workinprogressto.ca

Application Deadline

All applications should be in by April 2025. We will be reviewing applications as they come in so earlier applications may receive interview offers earlier.

Interviews

For those who progress through the application process there will be 1-2 interviews before decisions are made. Due to limited interview slots, we will only be able to directly respond to applicants who we would like to invite to interview with our clinical supervisors.

Offers

Different programs have different requirements and guidelines around practicum site offers.

About our Practicum

At Work in Progress we are committed to ongoing teaching, learning and unlearning. As part of this commitment we accept between 2-4 students in 8 month intervals. We are an approved site by UofT, OISE and Yorkville Universities and meet all CRPO requirements for supervision. Our qualified supervisors support students with weekly 1:1 supervision, conducted either virtually or in-person depending on alignment of schedules. Students are not only welcome but encouraged to participate in team building by joining WIP wide peer supervisions (3 a month), supporting one another's growth, resource sharing, and consulting with other therapists on the team.

Meet the Supervisors

Our supervisors are passionate and experienced clinicians...

Rebecca B-W

MA, RP, CCC

Rebecca, owner and clinic director of Work in Progress believes that trust and openness are key to a strong supervisory relationship, one that breaks down hierarchies and creates space to talk about the toughest parts of therapy. These candid conversations are what make therapy meaningful for both the practitioner and the client.

Supervisees can expect a supportive, creative environment where feedback is candid, nurturing, and supports growth. Rebecca’s passion for therapy shines through as she loves exploring strategies to help students develop their skills and authenticity. She draws from approaches such as Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR, and Cognitive and Mindfulness-Based practices to guide supervisees in building their unique clinical style and confidence.
