Through the safety of our connection, we can get to the heart of what you are going through. I aim to cultivate an environment that encourages authenticity to support your inherent capacity for healing and growth.

 

I use an integrative and relational approach founded on trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, culturally sensitive, and LGBTQ2SIA+ affirming. I also draw on lived experiences of life transitions and complex interpersonal/family relations. I welcome individuals of diverse backgrounds and identities. I strive to work alongside you, meet you where you are, and adapt our work together for individualized care. Taryn is currently completing the practicum component of Yorkville University’s Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She holds an BA in International Studies: Environment, Economics, and International Development. She also holds a Diploma in Criminology. Taryn has worked for 7 years in social services working with victims of human trafficking, exploitation, domestic violence, as well as sex workers. She is a student member of the Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapists.
